Of the participants in the tournament, the team led by Rafael Dudamel is the one that will play more friendlies before the cup.
The coach of the Venezuelan national team, Rafael Dudamel, called for 40 players pre-selected to participate in CONMEBOL Copa América Brazil 2019, a tournament in which the Vinotinto is part of Group A, along with the host team, Bolivia and Peru.
In order to face the continental tournament, Venezuela is scheduled to play three friendly matches before its debut against Peru on June 15 at the Arena do Gremio in Porto Alegre.
Venezuela will face Ecuador (in Miami) on June 1, Mexico (in Atlanta) on June 6 and the United States (in Cincinnati) on June 9.
"The fundamental matches for us will be those of Mexico and the United States," the Venezuelan coach explained at a press conference.
With these three games, Venezuela is the team that will play the friendliest games before CONMEBOL Copa América Brazil 2019.
"We aspire to pass the Group Stage. What we've achieved in the FIFA ranking has led us to be in a different position than usual today", added Dudamel, who as a player played four editions of the CONMEBOL Copa América: Ecuador 1993, Uruguay 1995, Bolivia 1997 and Colombia 2001.
