- 16 nations will compete for glory at this year’s CONMEBOL Copa América™. 6 from CONCACAF, and 10 from CONMEBOL
- 14 venues spanning across the United States will host the tournament’s matches.
For only the second time in the history of the world’s oldest national team tournament, CONMEBOL Copa América™ will take place in the United States.
The tournament has only been hosted outside of South America once before, that time being in the United States as well back in 2016. The purpose of the tournament occuring in the United States is part of a strategic partnership between CONMEBOL and CONCACAF to strengthen and develop the sport in both regions.
The agreement isn’t limited to just this tournament or only men’s teams either. Four women’s teams from CONMEBOL competed in the 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup, with Brazil finishing second. CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ will be a continuation of that agreement.
This will also be the second time in CONMEBOL Copa América™ history that 16 teams will participate in the tournament with six teams from CONCACAF joining the ten nations from CONMEBOL. The United States, Mexico, Jamaica and Panama qualified for the tournament through the CONCACAF Nations League while Canada and Costa Rica qualified through a qualification playoff.
Fourteen venues were chosen across the country to host the tournament’s matches.

- Q2 Stadium: Austin, Texas
- NGR Stadium: Houston, Texas
- AT&T Stadium: Arlington, Texas
- Hard Rock Stadium: Miami Gardens, Florida
- Inter&Co Stadium: Orlando, Florida
- Mercedes-Benz Stadium: Atlanta, Florida
- Bank of America Stadium: Charlotte, North Carolina
- MetLife Stadium: East Rutherford, New Jersey
CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ will kick off an important stretch in the history of the sport in the United States. Following CONMEBOL Copa América 2024, the U.S. will host the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and 2026 FIFA World Cup.
