The coach of Brazil, Tite, expects to arrive this Sunday enlightened to the final of the CONMEBOL Copa América Brazil 2019 that will play against Peru in the Maracaná of Rio de Janeiro, this Sunday July 7.
Tite remembered the Brazil World Cup champion Mario 'Lobo' Zagallo, in 1958 and 1962 as a player, in 1970 as technical director and in 1994 as technical assistant. Zagallo had a lucky charm with the number 13.
"5 plus 8 is 13, and I am 58 years old. I hope to have Zagallo's light. A master, an enlightened guy", said the Coach who, in case of winning, would get his first title as coach of the Canarinha.
- Felipe Luis or Alex Sandro? -
Tite preferred not to discuss details of who will be the line-up on Brazil's left side. In the semi-final match against Argentina, where they won 2-0, Alex Sandro lined up, because Filipe Luis was suffering from a leg pain.
He also explained that they are preparing for all eventualities in the game against Peru this Sunday from 17 hours local, including the possibility of starting with a goal conceded, an extension of the game by tie or the decision by penalties.
"We have to be prepared. We don't get anything by hiding something that is real. Playing well is the essence. You can go ahead, yes, but you must keep playing. It has to continue creating the same football idea, to be close to excellence", he added.
Tite, whose team can finish the 2019 CONMEBOL Copa América Brazil without conceding a goal, showed his excitement at coaching the "world's biggest team" on the "world's biggest football stadium" such as the Maracaná.
He also said he understood the dissatisfaction of the fans, who have previously booed him during the games, for not agreeing with the performance of the national team or with the conformation of the team.
"We have to understand the fan's thought. We live in a country with a lot of passion, which goes from one edge to the other very quickly", he said.
