The first chapter of the
CONMEBOL Copa América 2021 reached a dramatic conclusion on Monday. With wins for
Argentina and
Uruguay against
Bolivia and
Paraguay respectively, the
group stage of the of the world's oldest national team competition came to a close.
With 8 teams qualified
(Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Perú and Uruguay) the quarterfinals will get underway on Friday. All sides will dream of lifting the trophy and a review of the numbers so far suggest we are in for an exciting conclusion.
NUMBERS FROM THE COPA AMERICA GROUP PHASE

Alejandro 'Papu' Gómez scored the quickest goal in this edition of the Copa America,
giving Argentina the lead against Bolivia after just 6 minutes.

It is Brazilian
Casemiro who scored the latest goal of the competition,
giving Brazil the win against Colombia just after the 100 minute mark in a dramatic game in Group B.

At the Copa America there have been 121 saves, with an average of 6.05 per 90, and 166 shots, 8.3 per game on average.
In total there have been
