The South American Football Confederation has officially announced that the draw for the 2024 CONMEBOL Copa America™ Group Stage is slated for Thursday, December 7th, at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida, commencing at 7:30 pm ET.
The 16 participating national teams will discover their opponents in the fight for a spot in the next stage of the competition poised to rock the continent.
The 2024 CONMEBOL Copa America™ is set to take place in the United States, showcasing the participation of the 10 CONMEBOL member countries and six CONCACAF teams as guests. The tournament will be jointly organized by both confederations.
The six CONCACAF teams will secure their spots through the 2023/24 Concacaf Nations League. The Group Stage and quarter-finals of the competition's third edition will be played during the FIFA dates of September, October, and November 2023.
This will mark the 48th edition of the continent's most prestigious competition, featuring 16 participants for the second time in its history, the same number as in 2016, when the tournament was also held in the United States.
Ten South American FIFA World Cup™ titles and some of the brightest stars in world football will converge on the pitch to partake in the 32 matches of this edition, scheduled for June and July 2024.
