The selection of Peru qualified to the semifinal of the CONMEBOL Copa América Brazil 2019, after defeating Uruguay in the penalties 5-4 at the Arena Fonte Nova stadium in Salvador. In the 90 minutes, the match ended in a draw 0-0.
The game was played in front of a large crowd of fans who lived the celebration of football for the last time in the Arena of Salvador, and despite the rain did not stop shouting for their teams.
