After a heated conclusion the
fourth round late Brazilian win against Colombia and a rollercoaster 2-2 draw between Peru and Ecuador, Group B is moving towards a dramatic conclusion in the
CONMEBOL Copa América.
With this Group B now has two teams confirmed for the quarterfinal round with three more battling it out to be included on the final day of fixtures.
On Sunday the group will reach it's conclusion as Brazil face Ecuador and Peru play Venezuela.
Here is how the 5 teams could finish Group B
Brazil
Qualified and with first place already secured.
Tite's side has played 3 games and won all 3. They have 9 points, they scored 9 goals and have only conceded 1.
COLOMBIA
Qualified but with their final position to be decided. Reinaldo Rueda's side have booked their place in the quarterfinals although they don't know in which spot. They have played all of their games so this will depend on results elsewhere. They are currently in 2nd with 4 points having won, drawn and lost twice.
PERU
Ricardo Gareca's side has had their ups and downs in the tournament. They were convincingly beaten by Brazil in their opener but have bounced back to secure 4 points in the group. Currently in third (1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss) they will meet Venezuela in their final game.
ECUADOR
Ecuador perhaps find themselves in the most precarious position in the group. They have 2 points from 2 games but now face Brazil in their final game. They need to at least match the result of Venezuela who face Peru on the final day. A final day loss to Brazil would put everything in Venezuelan hands.
VENEZUELA
Despite some notable absences Venezuela have remained competitive and find themselves with a good chance of progression. Despite being last in Group B a win against Peru ensures they qualify. If Ecuador lose to Brazil then a Venezuela draw would also be enough to progress.
