Colombia defeated Chile and is the tournament’s last semifinalist

Colombia achieved its first goal: it defeated Chile 3-2 and secured a spot in the semifinals of the CONMEBOL Copa América Fútbol Playa 2025™, aiming for a return to the World Cup.
Against a Chile team that had already qualified in the previous round, Colombia started strong and took a 2-0 lead with goals from Clavijo and Eduardo López.
By the end of the second period and the start of the third, Chile managed to equalize with goals from Opazo and Araya, giving Uruguay some hope.
But right after Chile’s equalizer, Eduardo López struck again, this time with a stunning goal that included some skillful juggling and a shot into the top corner.
Colombia finished first and will face Brazil in the semifinals, while Chile finished second and will play against Paraguay. Both matches will take place on Saturday, March 1st.
